Management and Organizational Studies (MOS) at Huron offers you a variety of courses and modules to pursue in the areas of accounting, finance, business administration, management, organizational studies, policy and ethics. The BMOS degree provides a stepping-stone to post-graduate professional designations, such as CPA and CFA, and good preparation for a wide variety of business careers.

The Major in Management and Organizational Studies is for students who want to achieve competency in the basic business disciplines and pursue another area of study in the arts or social sciences.  Must be combined with a second non-MOS Major in an honours degree.

Animal Ethics and Sustainability Leadership (Interdisciplinary BA)

Turn your love for animals and passion for the environment into a degree that both deepens your knowledge and prepares you to lead. The first program of its kind, AESL builds your understanding of pressing animal and environmental issues – along with the management and leadership skills you need to be career ready.

AESL can be pursued as a standalone major or in combination with another module as a major or minor.

Business Intelligence

The Honours Specialization and Specialization in Business Intelligence will be available to second year students in the MOS program starting in September 2022. Usually reserved for graduate studies, Business Intelligence is a fast-emerging field in Canada and around the world. Undergraduate students at Huron will have access to this specialization, allowing them to develop some of the most sought-after skills by the time they graduate.

Marketing & Sustainability

The Honours Specialization and Specialization in Marketing & Sustainability will be available to second year students in the MOS program starting in September 2022. A quickly emerging field, Marketing & Sustainability will help students learn about the business of promoting, advertising and consumption behaviours while lowering harm to the environment and ethically and equitably increasing the quality of life and well-being – presently and for future generations.

Entrepreneurship (Interdisciplinary)

The Interdisciplinary Minor in Entrepreneurship is available to students from all academic disciplines and is founded on the premise that there is a common approach for the realization of new ventures, whether those ventures are start-up businesses, not-for-profits, or growth within existing enterprises.  It brings together various disciplinary perspectives providing a broad view on issues and opportunities for creative solutions.  It also responds to students demands for increased integrated learning and experiential learning opportunities.  This minor is reflective of the expansiveness and potential of entrepreneurship as a driver of societal well-being and serves as an important source of emancipation for students as entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and social innovators to become who they want to be, while creating the impact on the world they envision.
