Admission Requirements for Mature Students

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirements for admission to the university may be eligible for consideration as mature students if they meet the mature applicant requirements. Failure to account for all post secondary work attempted may result in the cancellation of admission and/or registration.

Mature students are normally considered for part-time admission (maximum of three full courses between September and April).

TO QUALIFY AS A MATURE STUDENT AN APPLICANT MUST:

  • be 21 years of age or older (in the calendar year in which admission is sought)
  • have no (other) academic basis of admission
  • be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • not have been in full-time attendance at an educational institution in the past 4 years.
