Professor emeritus establishes faculty research fund

Huron
Jan 26 2021

Dr. Paul Nesbitt-Larking, professor emeritus in the Department of Political Science at Huron University College has established the Charles Nesbitt-Larking Faculty Research Fund to support faculty research at Huron.

The fund is named in the memory of Dr. Nesbitt-Larking’s late father, Charles Nesbitt-Larking (1927-1980). Executive Director for the British Association for Science Education, Charles had a lifelong interest in British history and political life, and served as Mayor of Hertford. When Dr. Nesbitt-Larking became a student of politics and government at the age of seventeen, Charles gave him the gift of a book: Harvey and Bather’s The British Constitution. That gift became the foundation stone of an ever-expanding library of political and social science, and continues to represent the transmission of a love of learning and scholarship.

The Charles Nesbitt-Larking Faculty Research Fund will be awarded biennially to a Huron faculty member to support research needs beginning in 2022.
