Director of Field Education, Faculty of Theology

Greg Smith, MDiv
Director of Field Education, Faculty of Theology
My teaching aim is to contribute to the preparation of persons who are seeking to participate in the ministry of the Church either as an ordained or as a non-ordained minister. I seek to accomplish this by engaging students in the dialogue between their personal gifts and the expectations and needs of those who look for leadership in their spiritual lives and life in the world

Studying at Huron University College gives to any student the opportunity to engage with quality academics within a setting that is small enough to be called a community.  In the Faculty of Theology, the teaching faculty knows each of its students as individuals and is able to be truly present with them from the perspective of individual challenge and growth.  The community of both teaching faculty and students is diverse enough to give students the opportunity for a learning dialogue within a microcosm of the real world.  Being at Huron University College also offers the quality and opportunity of the much larger university setting at Western, with its resources and diversity.
