Roberta Jamieson, O.C. – Building an Inclusive Canada: A Post-Pandemic Imperative

Over a year into the pandemic, COVID-19 continues to challenge our communities and disproportionately impact our most disadvantaged and marginalized. How do we address these inequalities, building an inclusive and equitable Canada post-pandemic?

Join us for our upcoming webinar on Thursday, May 20 from 12 – 1 p.m. EDT for a live conversation and Q&A with Roberta Jamieson, O.C., the first First Nations woman in Canada to earn a law degree and the first woman to be elected chief of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.

As an experienced mediator, Roberta will share her experiences and discuss how we can disagree in a way that is not divisive, working to create a bold agenda that increases our nation’s resilience. We’ll explore how Canada can transition into a just recovery that addresses existing inequalities and re-centres our policies and plans around the public good.

This event is co-hosted by Huron’s Indigenous Initiatives Committee, Huron’s Students’ Council and Huron’s Alumni Association. If you have any questions about the event please reach out to Kate Macdonald at kmacd72@huron.uwo.ca
