Master of Divinity

I knew that starting a theological education, as part of my discernment to the Anglican priesthood, was where I was being called, but without the generosity of donors, I wouldn’t have been able to attend Huron. It’s as simple as that.

As a mature learner with a young family to support and a 100 km commute to and from school, the support and encouragement given to me by donors gave me the gift of being able to focus on my studies, rather than worrying about how my family would make ends meet. Many students are like me: mature students with family obligations but still having the goal of learning about their Christian faith and being formed for service in God’s Church.

The love and support of donors for those of us pursuing theological studies, and their belief in the importance of a robust theological education, is absolutely vital. Whatever God has in store for me within the Church and the world, I recognize that it is the legacy of charity and grace from generous donors that has helped to enable it.
