This rigorous career development stream is the perfect complement to the in-demand skills nurtured within Huron’s prestigious humanities environment.

Students who successfully complete this multi-tiered program will earn a designation that will bring their resume to the top of the pile and secure an interview. Scotiabank CAP signals to employers their newest applicant is fully prepared to contribute to their workplace and stands out as a future leader.

Scotiabank’s $1.5 million community investment has allowed Huron to create a rigorous and engaging career preparation program and provided students with the opportunity to participate in fundamental learning and experiences that address the needs for today’s ever-evolving workforce.

This year’s graduates demonstrated the capacity to complete demanding programming to stand out as emerging leaders in their community. Internship experiences, mentorship, learning professional and technical skills contributed to furthering their level of hands-on experience, complementing the exceptional educational experience offered at Huron.

Through ScotiaRISE, Scotiabank’s community investment in Huron’s students was demonstrated when hosting 20 Huron students at Scotiabank Centre in April 2023 to engage with various senior leaders for professional development.
