WHY FOCUS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL INNOVATION?

Huron prioritizes giving students an environment where they can grow both academically and personally. The “Leadership with Heart” concept of character-infused leadership has become an integral part of our community. This is a belief that good is for everyone – business, civil society organizations, government – and that effective outcomes depend on diversity, collaboration, and co-creation alongside people with lived experience.

Huron aims to nurture the passion and potential our students have to solve the world’s most urgent social problems. Furthermore, Huron is invested in building the skill set of entrepreneurial and entrepreneurial students in order to contribute positively to the health and well-being of both society and the economy. This includes developing an entrepreneurial mindset, creating experiential learning opportunities, and working with and nurturing entrepreneurial-minded students. In this regard, Huron is equipping students to manage the complexity of social, environmental and financial considerations facing today’s leaders.
